100 people in 7 cities built their own DIY environmental sensors to measure air quality, noise, pollution, light, and temperature. Participants in San Francisco, Geneva, Shanghai, Rio de Janeiro, Bangalore, Singapore and Boston took part in this global environmental awareness initiative. Environmental data from around the world is streamed online for three month for everybody to access, learn, and explore, in order to tell stories about urbanism through artful visualizations, sonifications, and new media projects.
